Moving from a linear to a circular industry
Abundant, durable, and recyclable resources
Our core material is stone wool made from volcanic stone – one of Earth's most abundant materials. Stone wool is fully recyclable in a closed loop without any loss in performance, and it is also recognised as a highly durable material, reducing the need for replacement and new resources.
Limiting our primary raw material use
Our stone wool manufacturing process can incorporate waste or by-products from other industries, such as slags from the steel industry.
We also collect and include post-consumer stone wool through our Rockcycle scheme, and our facilities minimise waste by re-introducing their internal production waste back into the production process.
A pioneer in recycling and reuse
Though our take-back programme Rockcyle, available in multiple countries, we recycle off-cuts from installation or ceiling tiles at end of life into new stone wool products. Our steel grids are also fully recyclable in a closed loop.
Recently we have gone one step further through successful pilots of direct re-use, leveraging the durability of our products to support a truly circular economy.
